2019-07-26 Tanglewood Park Seniors Group Meeting
Posted: Mon Jul 22, 2019 4:48 pm
Dear friends,
Greetings!
Our Annual Picnic was a huge success. The Heat-Wave, with the Temperatures upward of 40*C [with humidity], did not melt the energy of us Hardy Seniors. The trees and the gazebo provided the shade and mother nature provided a pleasant breeze periodically.
We shared jokes, sang along to the beat of the Dholki. Narinder Ji is an expert at the dholki. In the last hour, we still had energy left to take on the dance floor with popular Hindi and Punjabi songs.
There was plentiful delicious food, free flow of hot tea, and cool water. Big Thanks to Anil Sukhija for organizing. Big thanks to his team of volunteers for implementing, and Big thanks to all participants for making it a huge success.
Last Friday, we were informed of the launch of ICCC Seniors Facebook Page. If you are on Facebook, check it out. You can join the group, write your comments or questions and start off a conversation on a topic relevant to you, and respond to each other. The site will be monitored to ensure that the language used is amiable and pleasant.
Next Friday being the last Friday of the month, we will celebrate July Birthdays. So, if your birthday falls in July, please come forward and we will celebrate it together.
Please Note: The kitchen at Tanglewood remains under renovations. Bring your own lunch, utensils, and mug for Tea.
