2019-06-14 ICCC Tanglewood Seniors Group Meeting

Post by bbadmin »

Greetings!

Last Friday, we suffered the loss of a young, vibrant, Family and Community oriented member of our society, Hunsdeep Rangar, to a major, and sudden medical event. He will be missed by many. God Bless his Soul, and give strength to all his near and dear ones to deal with Huns's sudden and tragic demise.

Tanglewood Community Centre is gaining popularity with our ICCC Senior members. More than 75 people attended, and close to 20 members attended the Bridge session.

Also, last Friday ICCC Seniors Annual Picnic tickets went on sale.
Ticket price is $15 per person. It includes snacks, Lunch and Tea.
Date: 20th July 2019
Time : 11:00--16:00
Venue: Andrew Haydon Park Pavillion

Get your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Do not leave it to the last minute.

A Big Thank You to all who sponsored my 10 km race with the City of Ottawa at the Race Weekend in May. Together we have raised $1350 for the ICCC Seniors Program and over $600 for Canadians Sharing Locally and Globally. YAY!!

Today, our Government of Canada, along with other world leaders, announced the ban of single use plastics. Plastics are polluting our Waters {Fresh Water and Salt Waters}. Plastics are overflowing in the landfills. Plastics are endangering life on land and in the waters. We will play our part in harm reduction. We will not use plastic or polystyrene. Let us all work on this together. You are invited to bring your own reusable glass/mug for drinking water/tea, and your own spoon/fork etc.
