Hello all,
It's with profound sadness we inform you that Deepak Obhrai, Honorable MP from Calgary, passed away last night at 1 AM. Deepak was a man of great character who fought for the betterment of all Indo-Canadians. He was a regular patron of OFIC and supported us in all our endeavors. His initiative and continuous support to celebrate Diwali on Parliament Hill will be remembered by all. He was a champion of human rights around the world and his legacy will live on for years to come.
Our sincere condolences to his family, friends and to all the people who loved him. May his soul rest in peace.
