2021-03-26 Tanglewood Park Seniors Group Virtual Meeting

Dear Friends,
Happy Holi !
Last Friday, over 65 members attended the Zoom meeting. Guest speaker. Smt. Amrit Khosla gave an excellent presentation on soil health and what as a gardener, and as concerned citizens, we can do about it. Ours and our soil's health are governed by the same principles. The session was recorded and posted on the icccottawa.org website.
Thank you Amrit Ji for raising awareness of our impact on the soil and the environment and ultimately on our health, resulting from our agricultural and our gardening practices. We all have to act responsibly to bring about the change for the better.
Yesterday, 23rd March, India observed Shaheed Diwas to commemorate the sacrifice of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar and Shivaram Rajguru. On this day in 1931, the young freedom fighters were hanged in a Lahore jail, by the occupying British.
Sunday March 28/29 is Holi. Holi is one of the most important festivals in India and is known as the 'festival of colours' by many.
This Friday we will observe The Shaheed Diwas and Holi. You are invited to present your talk or song related to these and please let us dress for the occasion.
