Greetings!

Last Friday, we Celebrated Vaisakhi, Gudi Padwa, Hindu Lunar New Year, Mahavir Jayanti, (Birth Anniversary for Ujjain), the founder of Arya Samaj, Initiation of Khalsa by Guru Hargobind Singh Ji.

More than 90 members attended. We sat down to a meal of Saag and Makki ki Roti, with Lassi. It was a typical Punjabi style meal right down to hari mirch and piaaj, Gurrh and Laddoo. The meal was prepared by Rinag, and they did an excellent job. The food was tasty and there was enough for everyone.

There are a couple exciting ‘Free’ events by Arzoo Dance Theatre taking place in Ottawa this week:

NOTE that Friday, April 19th is Good Friday. Tanglewood Community Centre is open.

14:45 – 15:00……….. Pack-up and Tidy-up, with everyone’s help
12:00 – 15:00 ……….. Bridge

Bala Ji will teach Bridge from 13:00 till 14:30….PLEASE BE ON TIME.
