Greetings!

Last Friday, approximately 55 members joined the Zoom Meeting. It's always lovely to see all the familiar, friendly faces. Here I would like to commend Mr. Anil Sukhija for his efficiency and his professionalism in conducting these meetings. He's a Pro!

Next Friday is the last Friday of the month. We will Celebrate birthdays of all members born in the month of May, maintaining the social distance on the Zoom Meeting platform. After the Yoga session we should all sit with our Tea and Cake, or raise a glass of Lassi in honour of the Birthday boys and girls.

The program for this Friday's Zoom Meeting

10:00 - 10:30.... Pranayam By Girija Waghray
10:30 - 12:00.....Information Sharing, Songs (at least 1 Birthday Song), Poetry and Jokes.

(Those who wish to perform, please come prepared with your item.)

ICCC encourages and welcomes other seniors to join in to connect with us on ZOOM to dispel boredom and loneliness during the COVID-19 Mandatory Isolation.

ICCC Seniors Brain Health program meetings on ZOOM are held every Monday (10 a.m.-12 noon). This program is for a select group of seniors.
Activities include: Light exercises, brain games, art and cultural programs, etc. to keep seniors and their brains active. Any queries to be directed to Mr Anil Sukhija.

If you are not registered in the NCR directory, you are missing out on important information sent out periodically by the ICCC President, and by the ICCC Chair Person.

The Indo-Canadian Community Centre would once again like to congratulate and thank all those who have generously:

Donated Approximately $63,000 to date for its “ICCC COVID-19 RELIEF FUND” for the four charities namely:
The Ottawa Hospital,
Shepherds of Good Hope,
Ottawa Food Bank and
The Ottawa Mission, and

Provided several “in-kind” contributions, which include:
*Stitching of over 1500 face masks and gowns for front line workers and ICCC Seniors

*Over 350 meals (lunches or dinner - Indian cuisine) for frontline medical staff of the 5 Ottawa Hospitals (Civic, General, Riverside, Montfort and Queensway – Carleton Hospitals) during the past 4 weeks.

* Aid and support to Indian students in dire need

* Yoga and Pranayama classes to protect from COVID-19 virus,

* Volunteer services for various Hospitals and COVID Assessment Centres

EKAL Vidyalaya:
ICCC has also donated $25,500 to EKAL Vidyalaya to fund 4 life time schools for children, as well as for anemia treatment for 400 women under “Arogya Program” in Kerala.

Please Note: Tax Receipts for your donation will be sent out at the end of the year for the 2020 Tax Returns.

The community has shown that we can all be of great support to one another during these challenging times.
