Keeping in Touch During COVID-19

Post by bbadmin »

Fellow Seniors,

Greetings!

As we try to adjust to the challenges that may be posed by coronavirus over the next weeks and months, some of the sharp minds among our members are into high gear. Here are few things under consideration.

1. There is a strong possibility that some of us at some stage, may have to be in isolation at home. That can pose a challenge for acquiring the essential items for day-to-day living, such as groceries, medicines, etc. Normally we have close friends and family member on whom we can depend upon for help. But it is possible they may not be able to help when you need it. Here are a couple of solutions.

I) Vinni has provided the following link with information about ordering groceries and medicines on line and picking up, or getting them delivered.

https://www.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/del ... a-homepage

II) Eastern Ontario Resource Centre (613-741-6025), provides western meals under Meals on Wheels program. The cost is about $8 per meal delivered to your place.

2. To keep connected with each other, we are exploring the possibility of holding our regular meeting online via a video link. We will keep you updated regarding its progress.

Keep in good spirits.
Jagjit and Amrit
