Greetings! This Friday, 21st February, we have a special presentation on "Healthy Diet For Seniors" with emphasis on Diabetes and our Ethnic Cultural diet. It is important that we should all attend whether we have diabetes or not. Healthy eating habits are beneficial for us all.
Friday, 21st February, is a very significant day on the Hindu calendar - Mahashivratri. This is when the planets in our solar system are so aligned that there is an upsurge of energy. This is the day (night) when nature is pushing its creation towards its spiritual peak. People stay awake all night, celebrating from 6pm to 6am, in order to experience their own divine nature. To allow natural upsurge of energies to find their way, the basic requirement is that you stay awake with your spine vertical throughout the night.
Weekly Program - Friday 14th February 2020
11:00-12:00......Yoga, by Girija Waghray
12:00-13:00......Potluck Lunch by Team 2
13:00-14:00......Healthy Diet For Seniors by Vidhi Aggarwal
14:00-14:45......Tea and Socializing
14:45-15:00......Clear up and tidy up [with everyone's help]
13:00-14:30......Bridge
Please Note:
1} Bala Ji will teach Bridge from 13:00 till 14:30….PLEASE BE ON TIME.
2} Before we leave at 15:00 hours, we have to make sure we leave the rooms clean and tidy...at least, as tidy as we would like to find them. Participants in each room are responsible for any mess in the room that they are in, and before leaving, they should ensure that the room is clean and tidy.
3} Holi + Family Day Celebration on Saturday, 29th February 2020 {5:30-9:30pm}. Tickets @ $25 per person. Tickets are selling out fast.
4} SNOW...Social Network Of Women is Celebrating International Women's Day on 4th April. Tickets on sale at $35/Person.
Need Items for Auction {minimum Value $50}....all proceeds go to Interval House and Ottawa Mission.
