2020-11-20 Tanglewood Park Seniors Group Virtual Meeting

Post by bbadmin »

Dear Friends,

Greetings!

COVID-19 remains a grave concern. Wearing a mask, keeping physical social distance, and hand hygiene is mandatory. It is suggested that everyone maintains a virtual contact with family/friends. Social isolation, shorter days and frigid winter weather can lead to Isolation, loneliness and depression. Please, reach out to each other and keep in touch.

Please Note:
There is another kind of pandemic we need to take full precaution with......Fraudulent e-mails and sms ( yes, more than ever ). Before complying with the request to transfer funds to anyone, make sure that the request is legitimate, by cross checking with the person in whose name the request is made in that message.

Last Friday approximately 45 members attended the Zoom Meeting.
The Friday Seniors Meeting on Zoom:
Meeting Host: Sudesh Kanda, Coordinator, Seniors-Tanglewood Group
Program:
10:00 - 11:00...."Yoga for Life Mantra" by Dr. Virendra Bharti, with time for Q&A
11:00 - 12:00.... Information Sharing, Poetry, Songs, Jokes, etc.

The Thursday Seniors Meeting on Zoom:

Meeting Host :
Jagjit Khosla, Coordinator, Seniors-Orleans Group Program:

14:00-15:30 Information Sharing, Songs and Poetry Recital etc

Amrit will tell a story, published in the Globe and Mail, illustrating how easily COVID can spread far and wide because there was one asymptomatic person in a small wedding party and the people did not wear masks or kept the requisite distance. In total 177 people were infected and 7 died, none of them were in the wedding party.

NOTE: The Thursday & Friday meeting details are good till the end of the year.
