2019-10-03 Orleans Seniors Group Weekly Meeting

Dear Friends, Greetings!

Announcements:

1. Since I will not be at this meeting, Chandera has kindly agreed to act as the facilitator.

2. Basic Computer Skills class in Orleans on Sept. 28 was attended by 13 people and was well liked as indicated by the number of questions that were asked, and the instructor, Piyush, patiently addressed them. Many thanks to Piyush.

3. HoriKhela - A dance drama performance by Indrani Chaudhary and Fashion show from various Indian states - was held at 6 PM, Sept. 29, 2019 in Kailash Mittal Hall, Carleton University. It was a very enjoyable show, in particular the performance of the ICCC seniors participating in the fashion show was outstanding.

4. Diwali celebration is planned at Palki restaurant from 5:30 - 9 PM, on Oct. 26, 2019. This event is now sold out.

5. Brain Health Seminars: Sept. 30 to Oct. 4, Everyday from 5:30 to 7:30, Ottawa General Hospital. Details in a separate email.

Last Meeting - Sept. 26, 2019: About 25 people attended this meeting and enjoyed the potluck lunch. Ram Sahi made a presentation on Happiness, Behavioral Theory and Practices: Recent Studies. It was very well received judging by the discussion that followed, where everyone was engaged.
